Celestial Wanderers: Five Activities for Kids
Comets, asteroids, and meteorites are deeply rooted in myths and legends.  Now they are being used to explain the collapse of past civilizations and catastrophic environmental changes.  To better understand these celestial objects and how scientists hope to deflect them away from the Earth’s orbit, NASA has sent several unmanned spacecraft to study comets and asteroids up close.  Students can explore these celestial wanderers by browsing these fascinating sites.
