St. Stanislaus B&M School realizes the value of Internet access in their school and firmly believe that through the deployment of technology in our school and the teaching of computer literacy, our students will gain fundamental advantages in learning and become better prepared for academic challenges in the future.

 

 Please read and discuss carefully with your child/guardian the following guidelines.

 

  1. I will never give out any personal information about my classmates and myself.

 

  1. I will never agree to meet anyone I met on-line or send out a picture of myself or anyone else.

 

  1. I will not go to any website not approved by my teacher. I will only go to the websites pertaining to my schoolwork.

 

  1. I will not visit any chat rooms.

5.     I understand the Internet is not for my personal use. I will only use it for educational purposes.

 

  1. I will use the Internet responsibly.
  2. I will not send inappropriate, discriminatory, offensive or harassing e-mail out.
  3. I will take care of the school’s software, data and equipment.
  4. I will not download any files unless approved by my teacher.

10. I will ask permission to use materials that belong to someone else. Some information on the websites is copyrighted.

 

  1. Students shall not use or obtain another student’s password.
  2. User shall not attempt to read, delete or copy another person’s e-mail.

 

   Please read this policy carefully before signing, this is a legal binding document. In order for a student to gain access to the school Internet and e-mail he/she must obtain the written permission of the parent/guardian who shall have the option of denying their son/daughter/guardian Internet access. They will be given a report to be typed while the other students are on the Internet.

All students and parents must sign the attached form and return it to the computer lab before they can go on the Internet.

Parents please review and discuss these guidelines with your child. Make sure they understand these rules before they sign.

 

All students utilizing Internet Access are responsible for their behavior on-line and violations.
